Terms and conditions

Clear terms for a clearer queue.

These terms govern the V1 pilot of Waitometer for customers, business operators, and authorised staff.

Effective 28 September 2026 · V1 pilot

1. The service and these terms

Waitometer is a digital queue-management service operated by Techifirm Services Pvt Ltd, registered in India and based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. By using a Waitometer queue link, customer visit, business account, website, or application, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you act for a Business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that Business.

2. What Waitometer does

Waitometer helps a Business create and operate live or planned queues and helps a Customer view a token, position, expected wait, and instructions. Waitometer is not the clinic, bank, salon, diagnostic centre, service centre, or other Business providing the underlying service.

3. Queue estimates are guidance

Positions and expected waits can change because service times, emergencies, priorities, pauses, late arrivals, network conditions, or Business decisions change. An estimate is not a guaranteed appointment time, reservation, medical priority, or promise that a Business will provide a service. Follow the current instruction and any direct direction from the Business.

4. Emergencies and regulated services

Do not use Waitometer as an emergency service. For a medical, safety, or other emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service or Business staff immediately. A Business is responsible for professional judgement, triage, accessibility accommodation, eligibility, pricing, refunds, and delivery of its underlying service.

5. Customer responsibilities

  • provide accurate, minimal visit information;
  • keep the private visit link confidential and use only your own or an authorised person’s visit;
  • check live instructions and tell the Business if you are late, leaving, or need assistance;
  • avoid disrupting, probing, automating, scraping, or abusing the service; and
  • comply with the Business’s lawful policies and staff instructions.

6. Business responsibilities

  • configure queues truthfully and train only authorised staff;
  • collect the minimum Customer information appropriate for the service;
  • provide required notices, consent choices, and a working Customer support route;
  • protect staff credentials, devices, QR codes, and exported information;
  • use queue priority or corrections lawfully, fairly, and with suitable records; and
  • remain responsible for the underlying service, staff conduct, fees, taxes, licences, and regulatory duties.

7. Accounts and access

Business access is personal to the authorised user and may be limited by organisation, location, service, queue, or service point. Do not share sign-in codes or credentials. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, non-payment, legal risk, or material harm while preserving accepted visits where safely possible.

8. Pilot availability and changes

V1 is a limited pilot intended for a small number of participating Businesses and Customers. Features, capacity, and availability may be limited. We may maintain, update, pause, or discontinue pilot features. We will use reasonable care to preserve canonical queue state and communicate material planned changes, but uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.

9. Fees and third-party services

Any pilot fee, free period, usage allowance, tax, renewal, or paid provider charge must be stated in the applicable Business order or plan. V1 does not silently enable paid messaging, route, email, push, SMS, WhatsApp, or OTP providers. Third-party services have their own availability and terms.

10. Ownership and feedback

Techifirm and its licensors retain rights in Waitometer’s software, branding, interfaces, documentation, and service. A Business retains rights in its own content and data. You grant the limited permissions necessary to host and process that content for the service. Feedback may be used to improve Waitometer without identifying the contributor publicly.

11. Acceptable use

You must not access another tenant or private visit without authority; introduce malware; bypass security or rate limits; reverse engineer except where law permits; send unlawful, deceptive, or unsolicited communications; upload prohibited information; or use Waitometer to discriminate unlawfully or cause harm.

12. Privacy and confidentiality

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Each Business must treat Customer information and private visit links as confidential. During the pilot, visit records are configured for 30-day retention and optional location for up to 24 hours, subject to lawful exceptions and final legal review.

13. Service warranty and liability

Waitometer is provided with reasonable skill and care, but the pilot is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee an exact wait, Business outcome, or uninterrupted network connection. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that rule, Techifirm is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, the Business’s underlying service, or loss caused by unauthorised sharing of a private link or credential.

14. Ending use

A Customer may stop using a visit link or ask the Business to cancel the visit. A Business may end its pilot participation under its order or pilot arrangement. Terms that by their nature should continue—including confidentiality, ownership, payment, dispute, and lawful record obligations—survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before formal proceedings, the parties should try in good faith to resolve a dispute through the Business’s established Waitometer pilot support channel. Subject to mandatory law and any written Business agreement, courts with jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction.

16. Changes and contact route

We may update these Terms as the pilot changes. Material updates will show a new effective date and may be communicated through Waitometer. Customers should contact the Business that supplied the queue link. Business administrators can contact Techifirm through their established Waitometer pilot support channel.
